Frequently asked questions custom-made hearing
1. I am a musician and I ride a motorbike. Is there one type of hearing protector to cover both?
No. Each application has its own type of hearing protector. When you listen to or play music, not only is the tone important but also being able to understand speech. In that case, you need a hearing protector with even attenuation: the EXINORE ER.
When you are riding your motorbike, the emphasis will be on protecting against the noise of the wind. In addition, this hearing protector must be comfortable to wear under a helmet. We have developed the EXINORE Biopact for this.

2. I already wear Biopact hearing protectors, but I want to be able to listen to my navigation system when riding my motorbike. Is that possible?
Yes. You will need to replace one Biopact hearing protector with an IEM mono. Apart from producing excellent sound quality, the custom-made earpiece fits so well that surrounding noise is blocked out. When you order, please mention if you want to wear the IEM mono in your right or left ear.

3. Are noise filters mutually interchangeable?
Yes, ER filters are mutually interchangeable. Depending on the level of noise, there are people who use more than one pair of filters. Although they are interchangeable, we do not advise changing filters on a daily basis. There is a risk that the filter hole becomes flexible and reduces its grip on the filter. Please consult your hearing specialist for more information.

4. If I order ER earphones, will I automatically receive a pair of ER hearing protectors too?
No. These are two different products. Some customers already have ER hearing protection and want to supplement it with the ER earphones. When you order ER earphones and you do not yet have a pair of ER hearing protectors, make sure you order them at the same time.

5. Why does the SafeSound shut out everything with the SoloCom?
The SoloCom is intended 'to be able to hear what is said well'. If this combination were to allow surrounding noise through, it would be at the expense of being able to understand speech. The result, furthermore, would be that users would increase the volume with the risk of damaging their hearing.
